UConn athletes wear more than a jersey. From 2022 to 2025, D'Amelio Huskies Collective stood behind them.
Marc D'Amelio, UConn Class of 1991, started D'Amelio Huskies Collective in 2022 to help UConn student-athletes earn from their name, image, and likeness, not just on the two teams that make the headlines. What began around a handful of relationships in the basketball program grew into standing support across football, hockey, soccer, baseball, softball, track, tennis, rowing, lacrosse, swimming, golf, and field hockey, built through games, dinners, appearances, and the kind of relationships that outlast any one season.
Right Now
Taking Some Time To Reflect
We were early to helping student-athletes with NIL. From 2022 to 2025, D'Amelio Huskies Collective was one of the only collectives in the country supporting both men's and women's athletes across nearly every varsity sport, and we believe we were genuinely impactful for so many student-athletes outside the big sports of football and men's and women's basketball.
With the shift to revenue sharing between schools and athletes, we have not moved forward for now. We are open to revisiting this. We pride ourselves on being able to bring in student-athletes from all sports, men's and women's alike, and the relationships built over these years, the athletes who came through the program, and the belief in UConn student-athletes are all still very much here.
