Marc D'Amelio, UConn Class of 1991, started D'Amelio Huskies Collective in 2022 to help UConn student-athletes earn from their name, image, and likeness, not just on the two teams that make the headlines. What began around a handful of relationships in the basketball program grew into standing support across football, hockey, soccer, baseball, softball, track, tennis, rowing, lacrosse, swimming, golf, and field hockey, built through games, dinners, appearances, and the kind of relationships that outlast any one season.

Taking Some Time To Reflect
D'Amelio Huskies Collective was an NIL pioneer, one of the only collectives to support both men's and women's athletes across nearly every varsity sport, not just the revenue sports like basketball and football that most collectives focus on.
D'Amelio Huskies Collective is taking a step back right now, not closing up shop. NCAA rule changes and the shift to revenue sharing between schools and athletes (the House settlement era) have reshaped the landscape the Collective was built for, and Marc is using this pause to think through how the Collective has run so far and what it should look like next. A relaunch down the line is possible. The relationships built over these years, the athletes who came through the program, and the belief in UConn student-athletes are all still very much here.
